Size & Wight

The LG V30 is slightly bigger than its predecessor, and that is simply because it has a larger display screen. Even though it has gained size, LG has managed to reduce the weight in the V30.

You now get a larger screen with P-OLED technology, this should give you richer and punchier colours as well as an overall better viewing experience. The display screen also covers more of the front body which gives you a better screen to body ratio.

The V30 has the processor that the G6 should have had. The Snapdragon 835 CPU has significantly better performance then the Snapdragon 821 in the G6. The 835 will help the V30 run faster and smoother then the G6

RAM & Storage

Both phones have the same amount of RAM, however, you now get double the storage which is excellent for heavy phone users.

The only difference between the two phones is the rear camera. The LG V30 has a better rear camera with more megapixels, better aperture and wide angled lens. The aperture lets in more light so you get much better-quality pictures in low-light scenarios. The wide angle second camera is fantastic as you can get more into your shots without having to stand further back.

The battery remains the same with the same performance. Overall, both phones have a pretty avardge battery for a flagship phone.

Verdict on The LG V30 SIM Free

These phones were both released in the same year and there is no doubt that the LG V30 has a better spec. Some say that the LG V30 is what the G6 should have been.

Having said that, the design of the V30 is a bit more sleeker than the G6 and there are better colour options available.

If you want something that is different from the Samsung Galaxy S8 or iPhone X and can compete with them, then look no further than the V30.

To sum up the V30, it is an elegant phone that is well built, great performance and has surprisingly good audio for a smartphone.
